>>8772631>What can i expect? That a few too many of your superiors and fellow medics do not give 2 shits about their work, you, your skill, your peers or anyone they are supposed to help and have no wisdom to grant you. But, if you seek out the professional guys who are around, you can easily get a lot of assistance, advice and knowledge that can be applied to civilian positions or stay in and have a fair shot for promotions/advancements.
You get to give a lot of IVs, on and OFF duty( yay, drunk borderline alcohol poisoned PVTs are funny), and give shots and help train your assigned unit in CLS for training or when the unit just wants random classes done. You go along for everything your assigned unit does for deployments and field Xs and do a lot of what they do and also your own training programs, so, you'll stay busy.
Most line guys know to take care of thier medics( if they aren't a jackass), not treat them like shit, not burden them with inane PLT level stuff if avoidable, buds will help you out off hours if they can and not make fun of your MOS.
