Ok gunfags, which one is better suited to modern day infantry?

Both these guns had some pretty serious flaws when first introduced, but after a few generations it seems both have been improved enough to be functional weapons for soldiers in the field.

But which one would you carry into war? (I don't care about which one is more 'fun' or better for civilian use. I need to know what a soldier in the field would rather be issues and why)
