Sup /K/ommandos, I'm looking for a good Battle Rifle in either .308 or 7.62x39. I could build it not care if it's state legal, because I live in Commiefornia and I am leaving the state when I get orders out of here. Has to be reliable and accurate. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I was even thinking of driving to Oregon and buying a striped G3 Upper/lower combo. Im leaning towards an AR platform that takes cheap surplus mags.

Yeah. I've sent an email a month ago inquiring about custom AR15 lower receivers, and they never emailed me back. I then sent another email to no response.

Their loss, I am just using Orion Arms now.

I personally like the ballistics of the .308 (or 7.62 NATO). I have a 5.56 as well as a .308 and I love them both. Very accurate. I would recommend starting to build with a 5.56 AR-15 style. I have heard a lot of firearms other than an AR-15 style requires heavy machinery such as a 20 ton press.

.308 AR-10 is, for the most part, the same, the hard part is when you get into different patterns (DPMS, Armalite) of AR10's and their compatibility.

I would like to eventually build an AR-10, but I hate having to pay upwards of 350 to 400 JUST for the lower.... Oh well, what can ya do. I check gunbroker for 99% of my firearm needs. Whether it be price or if I can find parts for any firearm if need be.
