I like it. Sure, it means that you have to watch out what kind of rifles you buy, but that's ok.
I shoot pistols right handed and left eyed. I slightly modify my stance and all in all, very little changes when compared to other shooters.
I however shoot rifles and shotguns left handed and left eyed. This has some drawbacks (for instance with right handed bolt actions) or prevents use with retardedly designed weapons (like the SA80), but also a fair bit of advantages.
I shoot a Sig 551 SB and a Vz58V most. And for these weapons, there are several perks to shooting lefty. Ease of keeping the firing hand on the grip for all actions, being able to use the cocking handle without having to go over, under or canting the weapon.
When transitioning, I simply drop the weapon straight down, it swings to my left side and I can easily draw the pistol from my right hand side.
So yes, you need to be concious of a number of things (like ejection pattern, controls, ergonomics,...) but there are also some perks. Especially with AK type weapons.
