It seems that the PLA has finally adopted a semi-auto shotgun as standard equippment.

The QBS-09 which fires 12 gauge steel-cased tungsten buckshots with an effective range of 100 meters.

It seems to be used by the PLAN Marines for now... And also SpecOps I can imagine...

maybe this is a sign of China's increasing focus on counter-insurgency, seeing their problems with their western muslim seperatists.

In any case, this gun looks good, even though semi-auto is pretty prone to jam and malfunction...

But seeing the internals that resemble a bit AK/Saiga design, maybe this one should be pretty reliable.
