So, do you bring any first aid to the range?
Pic related. It happened at a range I go to occasionally. Was not there at the time but someone I know slightly was. ND, .30-06, went through both legs and hit the popliteal artery in the left leg. The only thing that stopped the bleeding was a tourniquet applied by the range officer.
This was kind of a wake-up call for me because I often go shooting in places without an established range officer and/or out in the boonies. All it takes is one idiot to ND into your leg, nick an artery and then bug out in a panic and you're completely fucked.
Just thought I'd share. I'm very low-speed, high drag and thought it silly to think about hanging a IFAK off my chest rig, but this incident has drastically changed my mind.
