>>8776723ball bearing, or clear glass marble.>>8776741Glass Marble Shotgun shell>>8776763sounds kind of evil. how would that act balistically?I handload. Since my shotguns are smoothbore (no rifled slug barrel for me) and the projectile isn't spinning, a roundball flies about the same as a foster, brenneke or any other non-finned slug.
Brotip: My load for ball bearings and marbles is 12 grains of red dot (a little light, but these are lulz shells anyway) with a skeet wad (I use pisk piston skeet BPI wads) You can use any load data for a 5/8th ounce load. It's just that most marbles weight half an ounce.
I pack the rest of the wad with glitter (I prefer gold glitter) to up the weight just a hair to meet the 5/8ths ounce load data.
Never could find load info for a half ounce load, but that's okay. The billowing cone of gold glitter is something I'd rather not stop doing.
I also load 3" shell full of airsoft pellets with no wad, only a simple pusher gas seal. That's about 9 grains of Red Dot powder. I usually pour glitter in those, too.
And a little FYI: In America, 12 gauge hulls are "supposed" to be red, but there's so many exceptions it isn't funny. Originally, there was supposed to be a color code for gauge. It's kind of dead now, though... particularly since people like Rio, Fiocchi, Cheddite, and others don't give a FUCK about color coding.
