Basically ban anything that isn't a bolt action rifle or break open shotgun, that is what the most adamant anti-gun parties hope for at best.

People in other countries think America is all a big gun toting nation but I know more people who don't support gun rights than do.

Guy above painted it right. I'm a resident of arizona and the gabrielle giffords shooting didn't happen far from me. Right when that happened, an uproar of magazine capacity limit bans went up; several places already have the 10 round capacity limit.

People who don't know guns (call magazines 'clips') think someone doesn't need more than a couple rounds for hunting and defense; but defense is a broad subject and if the time comes a citizen needs to defend them self with a gun, they need every advantage they can get.

There's still the NFA from 1934, the 1968 gun control act. After that, it varies by state from state. Some states have bullshit carry, capacity, and etc. laws. the country has a lot of stupid import laws as well; all the AK's we get need to have a fuckload of american parts.

Where to start is a challenge.

yet what never ceases to amaze me didn't seem to cause a stir, was how nobody asked why this Giffords lady and that federal judge didn't have a police detail assigned to them for such a large public event. Fuck, here there's an officer assigned to every school, and even for shit like community trivia nights.

I live in the shit hole known as binghamton, NY, and a few years back we had a shooting at the american civic association, (it was on the news, some yellow-individual went nuts and killed a bunch of people). They tried to sue gander mountain for selling him ammo/guns, and now they're in an uproar over high capacity magazines being allowed in OTHER states.
I hate this state. I hate it so bad.

Yeah.

There are a few noisy dipshits who get attention out of all proportion to their relevance... but their relevance is due to being a part of a larger organization that does not support their anti-gun opinions. Prime examples, Senators Boxer, Feinstein, and Schumer. All three are schmucks who think the 2nd A is obsolete and should be repealed... but their relevance is because of their position in the Democrat party, which does not generally support that opinion.

Look at how they raised the price of cigarettes in other countries, the government couldnt just say "lol government decided prices" without an uproar, but raising taxes on them? not a problem. Then the retailer is either a) forced to take a profit cut, or b) forced to up their prices.
