I am going to Denmark for 2 years and I need to know if i can and how to bring my small knife collection. I have 11 knives most around 2-3 inch blades, 2 or 3 larger ones and a short katana. I dont need to bring all of them, I just wanted to know about Denmark's gun laws.

Put them all on your person and in your carry-on when you board the plane. You should grow a beard before departure and neglect personal hygiene. Keep looking around you and don't stay in one spot too long when at the airport.

Danefag here; If a knife's blade is more than 7 cm's its illegal to carry, and if the knife can be opened using one hand it is illegal to carry as well.

If you want to have a sword (legally), you'll need a permit from the police.

So you're saying that the decedents of the Vikings have to have PERMISSION to carry swords & cannot carry a knife bigger than a Swiss Army pocket knife? That is sad.

Adding to that, you may carry things that you can reasonably be expected to use. That probably wont help you here though.

I believe its illegal to carry any knife at all in certain areas, but not completely certain.

Sounds like you should be in the market for better knives.

I've got two of these, one in plain edge and the one you have, the serrated edge. They don't hold an edge very well, so I only use them for small tasks around the house, like cutting twine or fishing line. That's all they're really good for, IMHO.

I used to use them to open boxes but the blades are a bit thick for that and not sharp enough.
