Though, the ATF form does call it a "silencer"

Personally, I like literal names for things. Suppressing sound we can do -- silencing it altogether is science fiction.

Why do these .22 pistols only hold 10 rounds? There are plenty of 9mm than can hold nearly twice that and .22's are a lot smaller in diameter than 9mm.

Seconding this. I picked up my 422 for around $100 new in box. Very light due to the aluminum frame which would be a benefit for backpacking. Very slim and it reduces the overall length by having the chamber located above the right grip panel. You can swap the muzzle nut for a threaded piece to fit a suppressor if you desire. I swapped mine but haven't gone forward with a suppressor purchase yet.
