Closed-market Supply side economics is the reason auto-sears cost 8-10 thousand dollars today, and M16A1's cost 30 thousand.
Here's how it would (and SHOULD) work:
Hughes amendment repealed.
Machine Gun registry open.
Manufacturers retool.
No, not every fucking gun made would be an MG, cause not everyone wants a federal background check and a 6 month approval wait and a 200 dollar tax stamp.
A New, full auto gun, after several years of market demand being satiated, when compared to it's semi-auto counterpart, should cost no more than 100 or 200 dollars more than the semi-auto, and then on top of that, the $200 tax stamp, and whatever heightened fees your full-auto dealer charges (since they charge more than normal ffl's).
So there, instead of being stuck with a fucking 20 year old DIAS, that took 6 months to get, cost 8 thousand dollars, + tax stamp + transfer fees... you could have a new, current production Noveske, with full auto trigger group already in it for noveske prices +tax stamp + dealer fees.
