just put my first AR together, was a very big learning experience for me. when I started, I knew little to nothing about AR's.

I got everything from palmetto. A $50 labor day sale stripped lower, then a complete upper, 16" 1/8 .223 wylde barrel, LPK and magpul MOE furniture. about $700 altogether, magazines not included.

I haven't even had a chance to take it to the range yet! Will probably get an eotech or one of those primary arms 3x red dots.

El Cheapo Simmons 4x30mm for plinking.

The Double Star kit is very high quality for the price, the trigger is crisp and has almost no creep to it.
MBUIS are just for shits n giggles mostly.
The lever lock mount is actually surprisingly well made. It keeps that Simmons on zero so long as I'm careful about the way I replace the scope on the rail.
I intend to replace the stock with something a little more precision friendly and put a decent scope on it. Maybe a Nikon or a Leupold if I somehow come into a fair amount of extra cash.

I built this think out of junk bcm and magpul crap for no real reason

I mostly shoot indoor only
And most indoor is .22 only

Very rarely shoot outside
My wood furniture mini-14 is for that

The ar-15 has literally 100 rounds through it
I got a dud box of federal at walmart for $50 and wasted it with the ar which will. Eat anything
