so on sept 11th, i was in hong kong. went to church with my family.
saw a guy there dressed in ACU's. now this raised a few flags.
1. who dresses in ACU's to church? especially because the dress code for that church is "polo shirt & jeans"
2. he got things wrong. combat patch only, no rank insignia, rolled sleeves, wrong size, etc.
3. nobody wears a US Army uniform overseas unless you're doing something for the Army. you're not supposed to let people know you're in the military when you're vacationing, and if you're assigned to hong kong, you'd be an attache of some sort and you'd probably be wearing your dress uniforms most of the time.
so yeah. people do this weird sort of thing. i asked him, he said he wore it "in honor of 9/11"
