GL - Well respected writer who, following the show, makes several interviews about deeper meaning within the show...plus awards the show wins for its animation and whatnot.
GR - GR's always kind of been on the fringes in /m/, oddly. It's one of those shows that those who've seen it, more often than not enjoy, but for some reason, it rarely ever seems to get recommended nearly as often as, say, Getter Armageddon or GGG...
As such, it's kind of become viewed as a sort of underground success on /m/
(Plus it tends to sport a smaller, but very dedicated fanbase...curiously, the same thing seemed to happen in Japan, if the letters Imagawa answered in his production notes are any indicator.)
