So, what're good /m/ games? Ones that aren't ps3/360 as I don't have those. Also not including SRW because everyone that's spent 30 seconds on this board knows about it.

I'm trying this out but it's pretty, uh, unforgiving. Maybe if it didn't have the analog right next to the d-pad so I could aim and move at the same time.

I have that game burned for my dreamcast, the shit is almost impossible to play cuz they way the controls are, and you can't change them to anything that's even near comfortable, the control schemes getting more difficult the farther down the alphabet you go....

There's a flightsim-ish stick for the DC that's got a trackball built in. I'd gotten it for a couple of bucks after the DC died. The trackball doesn't work with RftA, but it's an improvement on the standard DC pad. You can aim and move.

Don't care how playable it is. Not understanding a thing is missing out on too much in a game. Anybody remember a freeware game that came out, oh probably 3 or 4 years ago, maybe more, where you basically had a birds eye view of a space battlefield (IE big black empty space) and your army of robots fought a different colored army of robots. In each battle I think you could command a Commander's unit, and as the stages progressed capital ships would join the fray. It was really simple but pretty fun, I just can't remember the details or the name. It was something War, maybe Gundam War or something like that.

There's that whole internet thing, with reams and reams of background information, and passwords to get, and shitloads of dialog everywhere, and the Hoshun, but you don't understand a god damn word of it and miss out on half of what makes the game awesome.

Tech Romancer is a fighting game, but nothing like the Gundam fighters. They're complete and utter shit in comparison.

There's also Bangai-Oh.

Armored Warriors is a pretty cool game. It's only an arcade game as far as I know, but you can just get it for MAME. It's a beat em up with giant robots. You can swap arms and legs with enemy units. It's actually the prequel to the fighting game Cyberbots.

There's also a neat Mazinger arcade game. It's a vertical shooter, where you play as either Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, or Grendizer. Once again, use MAME.

And of course there's the epic Robot Alchemic Drive.

Robot Alchemic Drive is fucking awesome and terrible at the same time. You get to pilot a gigantic Super-robot via relatively "Realistic" means. For example, to walk you press R2 for the right leg and L2 for the left.

I loaned that game to a black guy and never got it back. Finding it is going to be a pain in the ass. Never could beat the final boss in that game but two player is fun as hell. Me and my friends wouldn't fight most of the time. We would waste or time racing to see who could get to the other side first.

BTW, have you tried the first MW? It's old but quite good. You can fly around the IS doing mission for the different houses, buy and sell mechs... It's like a proto-Mercenaries.

I played 0079 Side Story when I first got my Dreamcast and I loved it. Finished it multple times and used to pop it in when I needed my mech fix when Armored core was not doing it for me.

Well Gundam Tactics Mobility Fleet 0079 was essentially written for Mac, since the Pippin used the same chip as an LC...

But I'd try for a copy of Shogo MAD. It's classic only, but I can't think of anything else /m/ac.

And the Gear Fighter Dendo vidya for PS1 is an awesome side-scrollign beat em up, with a 3d fighting sequence.
