Have both.
Rengou VS ZAFT is full of shenanigans.
Gundam VS Gundam is awesome.
But I want AC.
Just asking if this will fill my AC needs on the go, or if I'll have to bear with it til I get back to my PS2 and AC:LR.

It's.. not bad but seriously nothing overly spectacular. You get every part from square 1 iirc, and all there is, is pretty much repetetive 1 vs 1 combat. Thankfully the English version has a manual control option, so it's not just a glorified lego builder.

I played it for a bit, still do.. once every few months when the planets align in certain patterns.

Have yet to beat all six(?) story routes.
I suck at AC, but I love it so...
My friends tell me I'm a freaking awesome designer/engineer though.
I think that's the only reason I manage to get by in it.

i for once am a shitty player but i beat the 6 routes and got 134% on the total stuff...

Oh I've played every AC game released except for MoA and For Answer.
I know the basics, I know the intricacies of each part in ACLR.
New control scheme ftw IMHO.
It's just that I'm a naturally bad aim when it comes to video games.
The FCS Box helps me, but the most effective weapons have Long/Narrow boxes and are therefore nearly useless to me...
Unless you're slow as shit on a table.

Or at least in that timeframe...
So I'm familiar with it somewhat.
No Look Up/Down controls in manual mode is no bother really; doesn't seem like there'd be Aerial combat unless they use Vert lock boxes, and then you can still fly up and shoot them in the face, or camp under them til they run low on energy and come down, THEN shoot them in the face.
All in all, I'd say it's a decent AC fix for the on-the-go AC junkie. (At least from just a glimpse of it.)

I like the AI customization, and the few new Generators and Radiators (Last Raven parts + those).

Just now realized, they've eliminated vertical look; your AC adjusts accordingly.

My opinion, they should have done it that way from the start, rather than putting L2/R2 as look up/down.

So far, I really, really like this AC game.

I give it an 8.
