I am thinking about getting into this, since I've gotten into Tytania...is there anything I need to know before I watch this? 110 episodes...wtf? And it's an OVA.

110 episodes isn't much considering how many episodes of assorted UC Gundam stuff you (may have) seen.

Hell, after a while as I was watching it, I dreaded even looking at the episode number. It would make me kinda sad knowing that the series might end eventually.

But, as you may have heard, LoGH is a completely different beast than Tytania. VERY serious business just about the whole way through.

When episode 110 finished I had tears in my eyes. Alone in my room I saluted the monitor (FPA style) and said "That was truely. A legend of Galactic Heroes.

What I liked about LoGH is that they did military saluting kinda correctly. The admirals nailed the "dismiss" routine good.
