So what the fuck. I was told that GaoGaiGar FINAL was one of the most epic things to ever be made. I finally get a chance to watch all the episodes, and Im bored out of my mind through every episode except the last two where its was just kinda above average.

Wheres all this insane GAR MANLY EPIC stuff I always hear about?

Final is pretty fail in my opinion. The whole plot is bad fanfiction with useless new characters and shitty villains, the fanservice, which pretty much didn't exist in Gaogaigar, is over the top and many of Gaogaigar's virtues are missing. The designs are decent and there are a few worthwhile scenes but generally a disappointment compared to GGG.

I basically completely concur with>>2328518in that it's a huge disappointment compared to how good GGG TV was.

It really suffered badly from the loss of Ryousuke Takahashi as writer. The new writers didn't really 'get' GaoGaiGar.

No matter how much I liked the fanservice, it just wasn't GaoGaiGar and FINAL gets overrated a lot though I do think it was awesome at certain moments
