is fucking everyone a newtype? i mean, goddamn, emma? how does that makes sense? and wasnt it pretty well established in MSG that bright wasnt one either? am i missing something?

I think Bright is a newtype, there are a few moments in MSG and Z where he shows those traits.

i can only recall him constatly looking to mirai for a newtype update, or commenting on how amazing he finds her powers, and his moments in zeta is kinda my point.

everyone on the ship stopped when katz died, and several people i was sure were oldtypes comment on the 'pressure' at some point in the series.

Newtypes are on the side of the megaphone that makes what they think louder for everyone to hear, oldtypes are just on the receiving end and can't do the same.

Yazan had a similar moment too before he picked up Reccoa, but Kamille already confirmed that Yazan wasn't a newtype, he just had a retardedly strong presence. What he had was probably just a really strong gut feeling about her.

Newtypes can also hear dead non-Newtypes as far as I can tell, hence Emma's presence at the climax of the Scirocco fight. I believe the only confirmed Newtypes on the Argama were Kamille, Katz, and Fa, unless I'm forgetting someone.

Also apparently even Oldtypes can have conversations with their dead girlfriends, if Jerid is any indication

that was the only explination i could think of, but are there any examples of this happening in any other series? the whole newtype connection thing struck me as alot more intimate then that...
