What's /m/'s opinion on the V2 gundam, not the show that spawned it, just the gundam itself. Design, armaments, features etc, and how does it stand up against your favorites? V2 might just be my favorite gundam so I don't really have anything to compare it to.

Fuck all the rest, V2 is the best.

But yeah, V2 and its variants are among my favorites. I, and others I'm sure, can't wait for the eventual MG V2. (MG Victory haters be damned; it had problems, but it's still an awesome kit.)

Fuck your proportions nonsense. I like me some sexy legs. You got a problem with me liking that kit, other than "lol Katoki" and "you have shitty taste?

If anything, the real problems with the kit are the ball joints that connect to legs to the waist, and to a lesser extent the hands, but no big deal imo.

My MG Victory wouldnt even stand until I had to use the clear nail polish treatment on its hip joints, not to mention the horrible arm design. The MG V is total shit, and its sad because V and V2 are awesome designs.

Get the Robot Damashii versions instead.

the finishing touches (gaps, seems, wonky joints and bad paint apps) on the Damashii line leaves much to be desired, i dont know why so many people jump on those rather than getting the model kits, which always seem to be more structurally accurate to the source.

Its not like that old model is anything to sing home about. You did a good job with what you were working with, but it has no neck, and the face looks derp. The RD is better in articulation, paint (unless you go to town on your model), and proportion.

RD is overly expensive for what amounts to action figures with varying degrees of quality.

Also, I keep my Victory on a stand. The legs aren't much a problem that way, except when the boots are in flight mode, which I hardly ever use.

Victory gundam, if it wanted to, could mount 16 beam rifles. Imagine that flying in combined fighter mode using hardpoint beam rifles as rotating. turrets.
