ITT: Turning OVA series into full-length TV series

No.6408246 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I'll start things off with Gunpla Builders Beginning G.

With a 49-52 episode TV series, Gunpla Builders could use all this extra time to expand on several aspects touched upon in the OVAs. It could serve to showcase other model lines and series, rather than primarily UC mobile suits, and the lone Red Frame. Existing characters would gain more development, and there's always the possibility of introducing new ones.

Perhaps a different ending would be in order as well. Picture this; After Haru's victory against the big bad of the TV series, he continues to pursue modeling perfection, distancing himself from his friends. Eventually, his personality has become so warped, he no longer resembles his former self, even discarding the Beginning 30 Gundam. Cue a challenge from a mysterious stranger, wielding an old Perfect Gundam model. After beating Haru and the mobile suit he built after discarding the Beginning 30 Gundam, the stranger is revealed to be a grown Kyoda Shiro, the protagonist of Plamo Kyoshiro. It is revealed that Haru's father knows Kyoda, and called in a favor.

After a lecture from Kyoda about the soul of a Gunpla Builder, (or something like that.) Kyoda returns to Haru his Beginning 30 Gundam. Haru tearfully accepts the gift. Transition to the Gundam Statue, saber drawn. The credits begin rolling, and as it zooms in on the face, the Gundam raises it's head skyward, and the camera pans to the sky as well. The credits continue to roll while the screen fades to black. After the credits finish, we cut to Kenta looking over a picture of him, Haru, and Rina/his custom Sazabi/Byaku Shiki, when a phone rings. Kenta answers it, and is surprised that Haru is on the other line. After a brief conversation, Haru invites Kenta over to help himbuild a model kit he got. After a moment, Kenta smiles, and answers with a "Sure, I'll be right over." Camera cuts to the picture/Sazabi/Byaku Shiki, and camera fades to black.

FIN.
