Stealth and long range are good attributes. Any vehicle capable of obtaining data reliably with minimal risk, and taking out choice targets if required with minimal chance of retaliation, is a good one. It would, and should, however, make for very boring TV/Anime.
Properly done, you probably have a small, somewhat cramped but comfortable suit with excellent life support, to allow days or weeks within barring incidences of 'cabin fever' which a professional would not suffer from. Lesser loadout than most for the setting. Its primary weapon would not have bright pink beams: energy would likely be in the UV range, as common detection systems are tuned to visible light and longer. More likely it would use physical ammunition when possible to reduce beam diffusion in an atmosphere.
A proper sniper is a patient professional with excellent general senses, ability to prioritise; an ideal scout that's also a marksman. I've not met many but "gung-ho" or "trigger happy" are the furthest thing from any of the ones I've met.
