>>6411511I can see the difference you're trying to point out. I just don't think it matters. Both shows have their share of fantasy elements that play directly in to the plot. How they play in to the plot, whether in or outside a robot doesn't matter shit to me. Does it to you? Well, that'st nice. Doesn't mean I have to conform to your view though.
At the end of the day I've stated at least once that VOTOMs has a more realstic potrayal of robots and that it has a more interesting main character than any Gundam show. I prefer Loran, and Gainer from King Gainer as another Tomino show since they're more likable protagonists but Chirico is better potrayed and more interesting as a character. The only thing you, or whatever other person arguing with me is arguing at this point appears to be that you think VOTOMis perfect and I think it, the characters in it and Takahashi works in general have some faults and that they still have some fantasy elements.
If you don't want to admit that they do and instead want to walk around with blinkers on in full fanboy mode then go ahead, I'm tired of trying to presuade you that VOTOMs has faults and that there's really not much difference between both shows at the end of the day.
They both have good points, they both have bad points and they both aim for much the same audience, with maybe a slight discrepancy in the target (early teens for Tomino, mid teens for Takahashi) and this influences their content and is directly influenced by the creators preferences.
I hope you open your eyes some day anon(s) - fanboyism is sad regardless of the show.
