/m/ I need your guidance. I've been wanting to check out newer versions of either Tetsujin 28, or Giant Robo, or Getter Robo. I only have time for 1 series. Which in your opinions is a better show to interest a mecha casual?(pretty much only watched gainaxshit) Leaning towards Tetsujin, seems the most iconic.

Giant Robo is awesome.

Getter Robo can also be awesome, but fluctuates based on which series/OVA you watch.

They're all good choices.

If you're short on time, I think a Getter OVA or the Giant Robo OVA would be shorter. But that's not to say Tetsujin 28 isn't worth the time.

I guess it depends how fun/serious a show you want. Getter's fun action, Giant Robo's rather more serious but still has fun over-the-top stuff, and Tetsujin 28 is pretty heavy, but not unenjoyably so.

Oh you better believe it. Giant Robo, too.

New Getter was ok in the plot department, but Getter Robo Armageddon was a little disjointed because director switch etc. But hey, the characters're still awesome.

Funnily enough you might want to watch Giant Robo before Tetsujin 28? But it doesn't really matter that much.

Tetsujin 28. It's a really great dramatic, character based anime. It's made up of short, more or less seperate arcs focusing on a tragic, war-related story, but near the end it starts focusing more on the main plot.
Giant Robo is cool, too.
