It's basically the movies in audio form, but fleshed out with extra scenes and background info. For the record, A New Hope is about 5 hours and 50 minutes in length, Empire Strikes Back is about 4 hours and 15 minutes, and Return of the Jedi is about 3 hours and 15 minutes.

The New Hope one is an audio drama. They do a lot of side bits to fill for time. The story starts well before the movie, with shit happening on Allderan, various adventures like 3p0 and R2 wandering into a droid lot, Luke and his loser friends racing, there's stuff on the imperial side too.

Pretty cool stuff.
