So here's my idea for a mecha series;

Far in the future, scientists get their hands on the DNA of an exceptionally angsty and violent Greek warlord of antiquity. Being scientists, and by proxy, infinitely wise, they create a self-replicating super soldier with this DNA. They then stick these clones in power armour.
They then realize that, in their rush to creat a super soldier, they forgot they were in a peaceful utopia without war. So they sell this DNA to another company, who create similar clones in power armour.
They than set the clones upon each other in a battle royale, which is televised across the world.
