Hey /m/, I was inspired by the previous threads about the /m/ stats chart and, I believe it was Shimille, SRW d20 system that someone posted. While very functional, I wanted to make my own system. I've decided to make it d% instead of d20 as I feel it is in the same spirit as the actual games more so than a d20 based system. Thoughts? Obscenities? Have a Shin Getter pic.

He's probably talking about d100 or d10 rolls that give you percent values.

Additionally percent rolls can work well for accuracy throws.

Say your attack has a 50% chance of hitting,

you need to roll a 1-50% to land tthe blow 51-100% misses. very simple and definitely more accurate than my Xd6/Xd4 system. How you decide the percentage values of attacks would require some good old fashioned thinking and lots of trial and error to combat balance deficiencies.

That's why I didn't use it. Really good in theory though, if you figure it out I'd like to see. It's probably a lot more simple than I think it is.

Can we stick to the one system and just build upon it? There's no reason we should be splintering off when we could just focus and pool our resources together.

But seriously OP, have you played SRWd20 yet? Or actually read the whole guidebook?

Might be a good idea to enjoy what's there first before assuming you can create something more efficient.

For example my system is NOT efficient, and it is pretty much just made for compatibility with the /m/ stat chart. It's more or less just a setup guide for basic text RP combat and nothing else.
