>>29346258>Bland>GenericI would argue that something can sound bland/generic if it plainly matches general stereotypes for whatever genre it is. There's plenty of obviously talentless three-chord "indie" music out there with unintelligent, uninspired, and unoriginal lyrics to boot. I refer to that shit as generic and bland because it actually is. Music CAN be that bad (in which case I use the word music lightly).
>Tracks sound the sameTracks can sound the same on an album, it's possible. On a first listen, people tend to say this on a first listen, when they haven't fully absorbed all of the details and sounds that make the tracks differ. But again, bringing up the dime-a-dozen "indie" bandwagon music by people who have only been playing their first act guitars for three weeks, tracks CAN genuinely sound too similar if the artist is unable to make them vary enough, either due to lack of skill or creativity (or both).
I agree that all of the other terms are in no way constructive or intelligent when criticizing music.
>Entry-level>Using words like tumblrcore, girl-core, or especially "Entry-level"You already made your point, "entry-level" is not a good term. You don't need to clutter your post by saying it again.
>Thinking that reading critics poisons your opinionIn my time here I have grown to think the opposite about this. Not that it poisons your opinion, I just think when people read a review before they actually listen to an album they often have the tendency to let reviews affect their own opinion (however slightly).
>If you do these things, you are a pleb>Things that make you patricianI don't get it, are you trying to be taken seriously? Because you ruined your credibility with this fuckery.
