>>669363More than that. Mainstream media coverage, record breaking fundraising, widespread grassroots support, and as
>>669226said, the spark for a longer term movement that may well spring up with other libertarian/constitutionalist types running for office. To think that he would've gotten multiple second place finishes, and perhaps even victory in a state or two before the entire thing is said and done, was ridiculous when Ron Paul started out.
It may not yet be finished by summer either, if he decides to run as a third party or independent candidate. Which DOES have a chance of being in the cards, since he's only said he has "no intention" of running, and has refused to absolutely rule out a third party run on several occasions.
I encourage you to troll harder though. You're just another one of the limitless trolls of /n/, like myself. Here's a really radical idea for you and your ilk though:
I am going to start giving a serious analysis of Ron Paul's impact for more than a few of the snarky troll comments on here. Not a NO U, not a FAGGOT, not a BAWWWWWWWW response. I can't keep up with all of them, certainly, but why not try to throw my leisure time into responding to a few?
Whether you love or hate Ron Paul, anything a notch more serious and polite can do nothing but improve the quality of /n/ at this point. Perhaps the same candor will even shine through and spark similar discussion on other issues instead of the 13 year old knuckle dragging standoffishness that permeates the board presently, dragging it down into the toilet and keeping it there. Perhaps. I'm not expecting much. I know /n/ is a shithole, but I'll be damned if I'm going to contribute to it by making it more of a one. And yes, I am a Ron Paul supporter.
