Several GOP leaders said the solid turnouts at both party’s caucuses should increase pressure on state lawmakers to fund a presidential primary in 2012. Lawmakers refused to set aside $2 million for a primary last year.
State Rep. Kay Wolf, a Prairie Village Republican who opposed the funding request for a primary, told the caucus crowd at the Matt Ross Community Center that she had changed her mind.
