If the Greenies want to stop CO2 emissions, I suggest they start by figuring out a way to stop some of these fucking coal mine fires which are pumping out untold tons of CO2 every year which amazingly nobody gives a shit about - but would rather demonise everyday citizens for driving to work and condemn developing nations by placing emission restrictions on them which they simply cannot afford.
There's litterally thousands of these coal mine fires burning right now, unchecked. Such as in Centralia Pennsylvania which has been burning since 1962, and isn't expected to extinguish itself for several more decades to a century depending. Or the Burning Mountain coal fires in Australia which have been burning for the past 6,000 years.
China's combined coal mine fires alone make up about 1% of the world's annual CO2 emissions. Not a staggering amount, but they're saying now that we're supposed to cut emissions by 50% by 2050-2100 to "avert disaster". The cost of putting out these fires is minimal when compared to the economic impact lowering our emissions by even 1%.
But you never hear about this shit.
