Most currently established religions are centuries... even millenia old... They've burned people at the stake. Beheaded them. Exciled them. Tortured them. Waged wars, and toppled empires. Anonymous cannot stand against them, I'm afraid. Not that anonymous needs to, as most of them are rotting away from the inside due to scandal or reason. But even so, they are a force to be reckoned with.
To put it into context... Once when I was sitting in the parking lot of Walmart late at night, I saw two teenage boys scurry out of the darkness and dropkick a shopping cart. Then they ran off into the night howling and laughing.
The CoS is that shopping cart. Anon taking on a real religion would be akin to that picture of the lone little brown boy with a rock verses a fucking assault tank which I don't have, but I'm sure you've seen - so use your imagination.
