Uh, rapists are human beings. It's a pretty obvious fact. An act doesn't change your DNA. You have a higher opinion of human beings than reality warrants.

The attitude of, "You must LOVE sex offenders (not just rapists) if you think any of their treatment is unfair," is just plain wrong. The US Constitution binds our government with certain requirements when it comes to criminal punishment and I think public registration comes under "cruel and unusual." Hell, keep them in jail their whole lives before that.
