At this point, it is now impossible for either Obama or Clinton to go into the convention with enough delegates to win thanks to how closely Obama and Clinton have distributed delegates so far. The superdelegate vote will decide the winner of the Democratic Presidential nomination.

Obama believes that the superdelegates voting in any way besides directly inline with the popular vote would be a terrible choice and reflect extremely poorly on the party

Clinton believes that the superdelegates should be free to vote however they choose, that doing otherwise would render their existence meaningless and go contrary to their reason for establishment.
