>>706868He believes that EVEN Islamic people are children of God, and that the hideous oppression they face from their fascist governments is an evil that America must work to defeat. While the Left would see Iraqis and other Islamic people living in a cesspool of hatred under the oppression of evil dictatorships and fascist regimes, President Bush sees a brighter future for these people, if only America lives up to the responsibility that her greatness indicates.
George W. Bush is our leader, and he takes that role seriously enough to withstand hatred unlike anything I’ve ever seen toward a leader who is not a malevolent dictator. Is he perfect in my mind? A far cry from it. I have been outraged at many of his decisions, against many of his agendas. But he is a man of conviction, and I must admire that. He set out to do specific things when he became president; promised to pursue certain things. Many of them have been accomplished, many have been thwarted, but he has worked toward his convictions, always. After 9/11, he saw his role transformed in an instant, and instead of shirking away into the arms of the easy path advocated by the Left, he set a course that he believed in for America, and he has not wavered, even with the defeatist Democrats now in the majority.
