sup /n/?

First time poster on /n/, usually on /o/ though. I recently picked up a job doing assembly work at a local bicycle shop and it stirred me up and got me back into riding. Needless to say, I feel like a kid again and I don't even know why I ever let myself get out of bicycling in general.. probably the fact I began dumping thousands into my cars and didn't spend money on bike stuff anymore.

Kinda bad day.. bought a new seat and I can't use it because the last time I rhode my bike , I was 15 (22 now) and I took it off a "sweet jump" and was dared to stay sitting on the seat. What happened next was the obvious.. that the seat rails caved upwards and fucked up the mounts on the top of my seat post. This was in 2003 or 2004 or so. Let's fast forward to yesterday, I got newer tires on the bike that came on my stepdad's Y3, had a brand new wheelset that's been sitting in my attic since the last time I rhode the bike as well..swapped my rotors over, put tubes/tires on the new wheels, and went to ride. Remembered about the seat. My shop is closed tomorrow and I really don't wanna pay out the ass in a pinch just so I can ride tomorrow and the day after since those are my days off. Just kinda wanna BS about bikes really, so I figured I'd come to /n/ as I have four in working condition and I figure I'll fit in here. Pic related, with the caved seat.. I built this bike up when I was younger, so all the memories were made when I was younger.. definitely felt great to ride but I definitely needed a new seat.
It's a 2002 or 2003 Mongoose Rockadile AL, with hayes, shimano LX/XT stuff, rhyno lite wheels and deore hubs.. nothin too fancy. Like I said, did it when I was younger. Did what I could afford.
