Last week I took a small canoe out on a bay to do some surveying work near a saltmarsh. While it was fun going thru/over swells and other things I dont get on a calm lake or pond, it took on lots of water from waves and I got pitched out of the canoe during one large wave during a badly timed seating shift. What are some good tips for going thru choppy water with a canoe?
