I'm getting a Piaggio X7 (or maybe XEvo..) soon, about $7500-8500 +orc ... and possibly one of the more lucrative maxiscoots to get stolen after the Burgmans.. :/
Unfortunately, I'm going to have to leave the scoot in a public apartment 'secure' carpark-- however the Body Corporate will be fine with a bike security post being put in, if I pay for it. Something much like the image.
Now chains are right out (_nothing_ takes more than 15 seconds to cut, _nothing_), so the trick will be to use thickarse posts and tubing that "U-locks" around the frame of the scooter.
I still need a good means of robustly locking the rod that goes inside the security post. Ideas? Something better and less breakable than a bigarse padlock that I was able to pick when I was 13...
