Sarah Palin's state is one of the four states in our union not served by Amtrak. Alaska does, meanwhile, have the only full-service railroad in the United States, which is owned by the state. In her term in Juneau, she was likely quite aware of the importance of the ARR as both a vital transportation link for residents as well as a means to generate income from tourism.
There's also the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system, that goes everywhere from island communities to the Lower 48.
Whether this makes Sarah Palin pro-/n/ remains to be seen.
