>>52976Before you take the condom off, the TSA now want's the ability to search all a/c with a MGTOW of 12,500lbs or more. Yeah...that's right....Tub Stacking Assholes want to touch most King Airs, and most biz jets. They know people are circumventing them, so in their typical "I AM THE LAW" attitude, they want to tighten the noose.
I'm personally a fan of the VLJ's. Don't make the fucking argument that they clutter the lower flight levels, as many things have cluttered the lower flight levels for years. Hell, I've cluttered them in fucking turbocharged recips that cant get out of their own way.
My only complaint is that the Eclipse is a total POS that needs to be taken behind the barn and shot. A shitty airplane has the ability to ruin the reputation of an entire segment of aviation, especially when bored news agents get ahold of some information on it.
As long as insurance companies ensure that owner pilots are actually capable of flying jets (they already pay out enough claims on Bonanzas), and not flying them off the end of runways in Carlsbad after autopilots fail, I think the VLJ market and 135 ops can do a lot of a seriously struggling industry.
