Here's how I saw it:
Woman gets on bus, finds an empty seat.
Guy comes on at another stop, and ignoring the other empty seats available for his use (I'm assuming double seating, and that there were double seats that were both empty), sits next to woman. Homeless guy, smelly guy, etc.
Woman is abit miffed that guy sits next to her. Has to endure guys stench till she can leave the bus so as not to cause a scene.
Lady complains to the paper; other Residents rail against the lady for defending herself. Or not taking action. Or causing Lulz, whatever.
