The things are lemons, when they were first introduced they were frequently overshooting their stops - that is they came to a stop after partially going past the station!
The solution so far has to restrict them to single unit (3 car) set, limit their speed, and have at any one time up to a third out of service having their breaks repaired.
Another problem is that these trains were bought during a short period when Melbournes train lines were operated by two companies, M>Train & Connex - both bought different trains to operate on their lines. When M>Train folded and Connex took over the services, it was found that the Siemens and the X'Trapolis 100 trains bought by Connex cannot be connected like earlier trains.
