Hi /n/. Today, I got in my first (and hopefully last) accident on my bike. I was going down a hill, had a green light, etc, and some fucker in a Focus makes his free right while I'm in plain sight. Apparently he was staring at the light while he turned instead of looking for cyclists like me. I tried to break but by the time I saw him swing out it was too late. I hit the hood with my head, flew over and landed face down in the street. That was quite the experience!!

I wasn't hurt, but my bike is trashed and thats my only mode of transport other than walking. :( I am making this guy or his insurance pay for a new bike/give me money but I came to ask, how many of you have ever been hit by cars while riding, or just gotten in nasty crashes in general?
