probably not Ice on rotors, probably the drums in the rear.

I had this problem on one of those big fucking Chevy work vans (with the 5.7 liter v8)

shit had drums that would fucking BITE DOWN when they were cold..

like lockup the rear brakes with almost no pedal travel at all.

Drove manual for a year and a half, every day. Got in my mom's Taurus to take my little brother down to Milwaukee. Cruising on interstate at 70-75mph. See upcoming traffic jam, try to clutch and brake, end up jamming my left foot into the wide ass brake pedal, going from 65-70mph to about 50mph in no time. whoops. Mom and little sisters freak out, brother lol'd when he realized what happened. Thankfully there was nobody behind us.
