>>3113652one of his delivery drivers fucked up.
up here in SF, there are tons of low overhangs.
recently, they began construction of a gigantic tunnel near the southern end of the golden gate bridge, and it has redirected lots of traffic (specifically traffic bound for the 101/lombard street).
you can either go around and underneath the bridge near all the tourist shit, or go around the other direction and go underneath the freeway.
his idiot driver drove around underneath the bridge, which has like 10' clearance and fucked up the front of the box.
I drove it down to LA on the 101 (all overhangs were good the whole way), and all overhangs in city of industry, LA, and el monte were good.
the box itself is, however, purely custom.
you can put whatever size/shape box you desire on these trucks.
my point is not the box itself, but the gas mileage, the cost of the vehicle itself, and the ability to put a huge box on the back.
not to mention that, unladen, these motherfuckers haul ass (up to about 70 MPH).
7 liter 6 cylinder toyota turbodiesel FTW (the smallest engine available)
I mention it because, as I brought up to my brother, the gas mileage is almost identical to a large V8 gasoline engine.
about 10-15 mpg depending on driving conditions and the mass being carried.
the difference is that it runs diesel, was specifically engineered to be extremely reliable (these engines last 1,000,000 miles no problem), safe, and easy to fix.
unladen (eg not hauling a bunch of heavy ass food materials or wood or fabric or something), they are very quick, slow down very easily, etc
