I'm interested in buying an 04-06 350z. Does anyone know how reliable they are? I'm looking for pretty low maintenance besides regular oil changes and such. I've heard they are very reliable cars. How many miles do they typically go before engine shit starts fucking up? I'm considering buying one with around 40k miles

i have an 07, absolutely no major mechanical problems since ive had it. the tires are pretty expensive though

things of concern: shitty interior materials are just now starting to deteriorate.

indeed the stock tires will cause the car to understeer and if you're good at feeling a car out while driving you can tell that. as for gas milage i get about 22mpg @ 80mph but if i actually cruise at 65mph i get around 31mpg on the highway remind you. the tpms sensors give out in about 5 years and if you are assed to replace them, they're about 100 bucks each unless you're fine without them and dont mind the orange light warning light about your tires.

I looked at 350s a lot. I haven't seen any indication of them being unreliable. I am still leaning towards the RX8 though. (ib4 "faggot" and "get an FD...which is like 5k more and way more used and abused). I would think the Z is far more reliable and get a bit better mpg though.

I am kind of neutral. I don't really like turbos. Once they kick in though, the 300 pulls on the 350, stock for stock. My problem is that a decent condition 300 is worth the same / more as a decent condition 350, with way less mileage. Naturally, the "condition" isn't anywhere near being the same, even if there are no apparent problems.

As far as looks go, I don't have a clear preference.
