dear /o/

this was in my friends EJ20 subaru wrx when he bought it, but he doesn't know what it is and i can't find anything that looks like it. anyone know what it is? inb4 wabaki valve, muffler bearings, blinker fluid reservoir, etc.

Don't know anything about Saburoos, but it looks like it may have something to do with a turbo, possibly.

no for a few reasons. one the intake hole is way to small, the ports the wrong shape (there is a bump for the injectors) and it does not have square ports on the head

boxer engine turbo manifold.
didnt realize the boxer engine wasnt i straight 4 rather a side by side.
it looks like rubber. so possibly a custom vulcanized rubber cast?

The previous owner likely knew that the mods that he did to the engine could be a potential danger to manifold so he put a spare one in the car just in case.
