my friend wants bestbuy to do it, to buy those cards "50 dollars for deck installation" "70 dollars for speaker installation"

if i could do it he would pay me 100...it's one of those decks that if the battery dies you have to input a code, is it still just a normal replacement?

Speakers are easy, re they front or back?

Radio deck requires a harness (you can get it at crutchfield for 10$ shipped)

And a set of DIN tools

they're the back speakers, it's a 2 door car and they sit right behind the back seats, facing upwards

also, if he just replaces the speakers would sound quality increase without a new deck, or is the quality of the deck attached to the quality of the speakers?

i've heard his stock speakers, and when you go about 50% volume it gets fuzzy as fuck, which is funny cuz they say BOSE on them

Bose is horseshit.

Crutchfield has a sheet of instructions that comes with a deck. I used it to help me figure out my friends Miata, worked pretty well. They even have technical support over the phone to help you out if you need it. (Which I did, the wiring harness wasn't correct for the amp my friend had with his BOSE system, so I had to smash one half of the harness to move the wire over. Not Crutchfield's fault, Mazda decided to move that wire around a lot.)

if they have covers on them, pop the cover off and unscrew the old speaker, there will be 2 wire per speaker, un hook them and put the new speakers in, replace cover

headunits a little more complicated, but basically just use the din tools (youtube how to use them) and put the new radio in, you're on your own when it comes to wiring that, but its rather simple
