I know absolutely nothing about cars, but want to learn. I noticed 4chan has an auto board, so I thought I'd come here for advice on where to start.

My primary desire is to be able to perform my own vehicle maintenance, and not too tough repairs. So should I get some kind of DIY mechanics book to read or what? Please halp.
