sounds like you need to buy something cheap to get you by for a year or so while you save money for a better down payment. You could look up ways to build credit and try and follow those.. I was always told to get a homedepot or sears card and buy something with it and pay it off just to build credit. I am sure your parents have a good reason for not co-signing
Prelude is probably the most fun you can have fwd.

>>4630218 I had a friend who limped a $600 chevy astro van around for like a year while he saved money.. he was in a different situation where he had a wife and 3 kids already. Its tough to go around with a pos when you want to be rolling in something better... but sometimes you gotta do what is right for the long term. When you save for a year or so then you will have enough for a decent down and then you can lower your payments too.

You don't need a loan, OP. Car loans are one of the worst things you can ever get as you'll get fucked over paying for something that loses its value so fast. How much do you think you can save up? You also have to factor in insurance costs in mind.

My algebra 2 teacher, who used to be a banker explained bank loans and interest, and even applied it to our age. He id everything home loans, car loans etc. He used the examples to explain the concept of interest. When someone asked "really?!?!!" he would say "damn right . . . Cash buy everything in cash. or you can go screw yourself." also credit cards are basically Satan and loans should only be taken out for major shit like houses. tl;dr buy in cash OP, you can also get better cars if you pay in full cash, a 10k car through a loan instantly can be haggled down to 6-7k if paid in full cash. remember to do taxes OP
